The forest where Gods live

Deep in the snowy mountains, the forest and its five shrines are mentioned in Japanese mythology, and in winter they are completely silent, keeping people away.

It is a place of overwhelming power, where the entire forest breathes, and the presence of the gods is intensely felt.

The forest is widely known for its cedar trees, some of which are over 400 years old, and its rows of more than 200 giant cedar and sacred trees are over 800 years old. In addition to the cedars, the vast natural forest covers an area of 509090㎡ and consists of deciduous trees such as Japanese elm, linden, beech, Japanese horse chestnut, Sargent’s cherry, alder, Mongolian oak, and coniferous trees such as fir, yew, and Japanese white birch.
